Bluechip Industrial Services is proud to announce its recognition as a Fabricator Member of the Australian Steel Institute (ASI) for the 2026-2027 membership year.
The ASI is the peak body representing the entire Australian steel supply chain - from manufacturing mills through to end users in building and construction, heavy engineering, and manufacturing. Its mission is to drive increased use of Australian steel and strengthen industry competitiveness, with focus areas that include promoting Australian-made steel, advocating for fair trade, championing quality, compliance, and best practice, and supporting the next generation through STEM, trades, and training.
Membership brings Bluechip into a national network of producers, distributors, fabricators, detailers, and constructors, all connected to the same standards, technical resources, and industry advocacy that keep Australian steel competitive.
What this means for our clients
Operating from Henderson, Western Australia, Bluechip delivers structural steel, plate, pipe spooling, and mechanical equipment fabrication across mining, marine, oil & gas, industrial, and public infrastructure projects. Our capabilities span everything from mining equipment and wind towers to bridges, conveyors, pipelines, and storage tanks - backed by CNC beam lines, profiling, rolling, and robotic welding facilities, and certified to AS/NZS ISO 9001, AS/NZS ISO 14001, and AS/NZS 4801/45001 standards.
Being part of the ASI reinforces that commitment. The Institute's technical support arm runs industry training, case study seminars, and awards, and publishes research through an online resource library recognised as one of the best in the Southern Hemisphere, with links to global bodies such as worldsteel. Access to this knowledge base helps keep our fabrication practices aligned with current standards and emerging innovation, and supports our position as a source of quality, locally fabricated steel for our clients.
Supporting the future of Australia's steel industry
As a member, we also stand alongside the ASI's broader advocacy work in promoting Australian-made steel, supporting fair and reasonable trade, and championing local content procurement as being in the interest of both clients and the nation. We look forward to contributing to and supporting the future of the local steel industry alongside our fellow ASI members, and to continuing to deliver high-quality steel fabrication and industrial solutions across Western Australia and beyond.
